Our Staff

Louise
Hi, my name is Louise and I am the owner of Buxton Riding School.
I have been involved in showjumping for over 20 years. I competed with the England team at both national and international levels. As a family business, we have worked hard to build Buxton Riding School into the success it has become. I have some incredible people around me and we believe we have the necessary skills and experience to train horses and riders of all levels no matter of their age or disability.
Sydney
Hi I’m Sydney.
Here’s a little bit about me. I have lived and breathed horses since I was a tiny baby. I now compete in British Eventing, going to events all over the country with my horse, Harley. I have worked and gained knowledge from a professional event rider and I also train with many professional coaches. I have qualified in my Ride and Road safe award as well as Level Two in horse care which I got while doing an apprenticeship with Reaseheath college.

Connie
Hi I am Connie.
I am 15 years old and I have been riding before I could even walk. I have had some amazing ponies in the past and wouldn’t be the rider I am today without them or my mum. I have just brought up a youngster from Ireland called Boom. He has been to a few one day events and we are currently working our way towards BSJA and combined training. I couldn’t adore a horse any more than I do him! I have also taken on Oliver the ‘superstar’, who has been everywhere with my sister and hopefully, he can take me every where as well. I have also been doing NSEA and hope to do some more this summer. In the future, I would love to work with animals at a rescue centre or helping animals in need in some way. I have been working at Buxton Riding School for 3 years and hope to continue doing so in the future. I intend to get my BHS stages done too very soon. I have had the most amazing coaches over the years and I wouldn’t be where I am without them.
Bethan
My name is Bethan.
I have been working with horses for over 20 years, gaining my experience and education from a number of top competition yards along the way. I coach for all levels of abilities. I also coach for our RDA group; taking our group to the national championship. I have BHS stage 2 RDA Advanced coach and have trained children to European championships. I have a few horses, competing & working their way through the grades including my homebred youngster Minnie.

Keavey
My name is Keavey.
I was 7 years old when I found my love for horses. Since then, I have gained 13 year’s experience of riding and looking after lots of different horses. I’ve had my own horse, Harry now since I was 12 years old and educated him myself over the years. My greatest achievement with him is qualifying for the ‘Pony of the year’ show in 2022. This was our first working hunter class at Newark showground.
When I left school in 2019, I went straight into my dream job, working on a yard with a variety of different horses and getting the chance to visit different places. I completed my apprenticeship through Stubbing court training after 2 years and now have qualifications in level 3 horse management and riding. I then started working at Buxton riding school in 2021 and achieved my Ride Safe certificate. I am now looking forward to expanding my knowledge with teaching.
Lily
Hi I’m lily I’m 14 years old.
I have lived and breathed horses since being in my mums tummy, having my first pony as soon as I could sit up. I now compete affiliated at working hunter and British dressage. I also love to show jump. I have been to many championships including Hickstead and David Broomes European championships. I have a string of ponies I’m currently producing and taking through the levels. My ultimate goal is to compete at HOYS. I am currently working towards my BHS exams to increase my education to set me up for my future in the industry. I have been so lucky to have had lessons with some awesome inspiring coaches who have helped me become the groom / jockey I am today.

Macey
Hi I’m Macey.
I’m 16 years old. I have loved horses ever since I was little and started my journey with them at BRS at just 4 years old. I was lucky enough to have my own pony then too. I have been very fortunate to have some amazing horses in the past and I’m currently producing my own horse, Winston, who I am taking up the levels and have taught him everything he knows. However on the side of my GCSE’S, I have just started working through my BHS stages. My goal with Winston is to get him out competing at ‘unaffiliated one-day events’ and hopefully go onto BE. We also do dressage, showjumping and a little bit of hunting as that is what we both love. Through my journey with horses I have been lucky enough to have been taught by some of the most inspiring coaches who have helped me become the rider I am today.
